"Yo me alegre con los que me decian..."

Le hemos llevado a JJ a la iglesia desde que tenia 5 semanitas. Cada domingo es diferente, ya que algunas veces esta quietito y dormidito y podemos estar en el culto, cantando y oyendo el mensaje...hay veces en que esta con hambrecita y tenemos que salir a la sala cuna u oficina del papi...y hay veces en que esta bien despierto sonriendo a toditos y disfrutando de la musica y de la compania de los jovenes en la escuela dominical. Pero todo vale la pena para enseniarle a nuestro hijito el amor a las cosas de Dios y la importancia que hay en reunirse con otros seguidores de Cristo. Cada vez que le baniamos el sabado de noche y cuando le vestimos el domingo de maniana, le hablamos de lo que significa ir a la iglesia el dia siguiente y le cantamos ese corito del Salmo 122, "Yo me alegre con los que me decian: a la casa de Jehova iremos." Seguimos orando para que nuestro chiquito encuentre vida nueva en Cristo pronto.

We have taken JJ to church since he was 5 weeks old. Every Sunday is different...there are times when he is quiet and sleeping and we can be in the main service, singing and listening to the message...there are times when he is hungry and we have to go to the nursery or daddy's office...there are times when he is wide awake and smiling at everyone and he enjoys the music and being with the youth in Sunday School. However, it is all worthwhile to begin to teach our son to love the things of God and the importance in meeting together with other followers of Christ. Every time we bathe him on Saturday nights and when we dress him on Sunday mornings, we talk to him about what it means to go to church and Valeria sings to him a song in Spanish taken from Psalm 122:1, "I was glad when they said to me, Let us go to the house of the Lord!" We keep praying for our son to soon find new and abundant life in Christ.

Hugs and Kisses

Josh and I are often amazed at the fact that we are parents and have a cute, little baby boy to love! God is soooo good! We hope JJ never gets tired of our hugs and kisses! :)

Josh y yo nos asombramos al pensar en que somos padres y tenemos a un bebito chiquito y lindo a quien amar! Dios es taaan bueno! Esperamos que JJ nunca se canse de nuestros besos y abrazos! :)

Snow...Nieve...and more Snow!

Our home here right outside of Louisville received 14 inches of snow in the past 48 hours or so! It is absolutely beautiful outside. This, of course, was JJ's first snow blizzard. We had received flurries even from the day he was born in January, but this was the first real, accumulated and deep snowfall for us...and we couldn't resist bundling JJ up REALLY well and taking him out to see what snow is all about...

"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord, "though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow..." Isaiah 1:18

"Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow." Psalm 51:7

Please keep praying that these words would soon be a reality in the life of our little son.


En dos dias, hemos recibido 14 pulgadas de nieve aqui en las afueras de Louisville! Todo esta blanco, blanco afuera y se ve lindisimo. Esta fue la primera gran nevada en la vida de JJ. Claro que ha habido un poco de nieve desde que nacio en Enero, pero esta fue la primera gran acumulacion y no pudimos resistir...asi que le arropamos a nuestro chiquito y le sacamos para que vea de que se trata la nieve...

"Venid luego, dice Jehova, y estemos a cuenta: si vuestros pecados fueren como la grana, como la nieve seran emblanquecidos..." Isaias 1:18

"Purificame con hisopo, y sere limpio; lavame y sere mas blanco que la nieve." Salmo 51:7

Sigan orando para que pronto estas palabras sean una realidad en la vida de nuestro hijito.

Our firstborn, Joshua Jr.

This blogspot was created in order for Valeria and I to show our families the growth and progress of our new son. We thank God for the gift of a child!

JJ (josh jr.) was born on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008 at 6:11 am. He was 20 inches long and weighed 7 pounds 9 ounces.

On Wednesday, he will be 9 weeks old. We took him today and had him weighed and he is now up to 9 lbs & 12 ounces. We are so delighted to see him growing.
